Felt Range
The felt I use cannot be purchased in New Zealand.
I mainly use my Brother Scan & Cut, to cut these pieces out precisely, but even using a machine
it takes time as each piece is individual and different colours, which means loading onto the cutting board, organising it into the cutting machine and cutting it out. This alone can take
over a hour to cut, depending on the size of the project, sometimes it could be a day of cutting. Then comes stitching it altogether.
I like to colour coordinate my threads to the colours of felt in which also takes more time, it gives a lovely finish, verses just using white thread that stands out like a sore thumb.
All thread ends are then pulled back into the work yet another step, which takes time, it’s not as simple as double stitching your sewing machine over it, which can still undo, but also makes it stand out.
All Felt pieces are very limited, due to costs.
